Today’s photo # 150: Boat in the mist
During this trip in Oman the humidity was so unbearable I was struggling to stay out and take photos.
The Oman landscape was quite wild in Musandam in the early morning. Rocks and goats surrounded by the mist which was steaming the lens all the time.
I went walking along the shore and this boat moored not far away. The quiet of the early morning landscape and the calm waters brought a sense of tranquillity and stillness moved only by the birds. The boat seemed asleep just like the crew inside.
When I downloaded his photo I was mostly excited at the thought to see the line of birds and hope it was all in focus. But what struck me most of final image was the feeling resembling a XVII century oil painting – thanks to the mist and fog.
I have come to the decision to put this blog on hold. It has not been an easy decision. I have enjoyed massively posting one photo per day and tell what is behind it. I think this gives more life and meaning to any image and put me in the position to go back to my memories behind every shot and so doing make them more vivid.
I have however given lot of thoughts about the direction of this blog. After 150 images posted I felt that this is no longer enough. I like the idea to provide fresh new images on constant basis, however a blog to be vibrant requires more. In this moment of my life I have several projects going on at the same time that I had to make a call as to which one I should focus more, simply because the day is made of 24 hours and looking after all of them is putting me out of focus on all.
One of projects is the development of this blog. New style, new contents, new sections. A huge task that requires lots of energies which I am very happy to inject in it, but simply I cannot in this moment in time.
Travelphotoandmore.com is so in stand by for sometime. It will remain on line in the meantime and will come back completely renewed.
